Airports
Albany International Airport – served by major carriers such as American, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, United and US Airways – is located in the middle of Tech Valley, just off of I-87 and near the intersection of I-90 and I-87. A number of taxi, local and long-distance bus, limousine and car rental services are available. Million Air serves as the airport's fixed based operator for prviate aviation services.
Stewart International Airport, situated at the intersection of I-84 and I-87 in Newburgh, offers another cost-effective, convenient option for air travel. Carriers such as American, AirTran, Delta, Jet Blue, Northwest and US Airways provide service. With the rapid growth of the region, another airport recently began operating passenger flights. Plattsburgh International Airport serves as a convenient hub for Tech Valley, Montreal and southern Quebec, Lake Placid and the Adirondacks and Vermont. The northern portion of Tech Valley is also served by two additional international airports in Montreal and Burlington, Vermont. Both may be reached by a short car ride. Tech Valley is also home to additional airports that provide regular commuter service to key hubs from Plattsburgh, Poughkeepsie and Saranac Lake.
