Tech Valley is a hub of IT activity. Home to one of the world's fastest supercomputers, significant operations for both IBM and GE Global Research, and many emerging high-tech firms, Tech Valley has solidified its position in the fast-evolving information technology sector decades to come.
And we're not stopping there. Five business incubators are focused on technology, developing and preparing fledging tech companies for future successes. The region’s largest facility, Rensselaer Incubator Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, helped launch MapInfo (now Pitney Bowes Software), a software company that has more than 900 employees across the world and sales of more than $165 million in 2006.
