Area's Household Incomes on the Rise
The median household income in Tech Valley was $52,275 for 2006 according to data recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau. The American Community Survey, conducted earlier this year, showed the region's household incomes jumping 5.3 percent over 2005. In the Northeast, incomes increased just 3.7 percent while the U.S. saw an increase of 4.8 percent.
Median household income is the point at which half make more and half make less.
