Tech Valley Cities and Towns Growing
Population for most of Tech Valley’s metropolitan and micropolitan areas increased between April 1, 2000 and July 1, 2005 according to figures recently released by the U.S. Census.
Albany-Schenectady-Troy increased 2.8 percent, Amsterdam dropped less than 1 percent, Glens Falls grew 3.4 percent, Gloversville went up 1 percent, Hudson increased nearly 1 percent, Kingston grew 2.8 percent, Malone dropped less than 1 percent, Plattsburgh went up 2.7 percent and Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown increased 7.4 percent.
Overall Tech Valley’s population grew 3.8 percent.
