Region Among Best in Nation for Jobs
Two of Tech Valley’s metropolitan areas ranked in the top 30 in Forbes magazine’s “Best Cities For Jobs” rankings.
Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown placed 27th and Albany-Schenectady-Troy rose five spots to 30th. In the Northeast only Camden, N.J. ranked higher at 26th.
To compile the rankings, Forbes used five data points, weighted equally: unemployment rate, job growth, income growth, median household income and cost of living.
